File Centric

All the tasks are stored as lines in a txt file.
All the settings are stored in a toml file.
Thats it. It’s not in a database on some server
being siphoned for keywords, its just a file.

No Account

otxto is designed around files, there is no need for accounts. It doesn’t use the internet at all. The files can be synced with the project. You don’t need to remember any accounts or password. Permissions and syncing is be handled by your file sharing program of choice.

Dynamic Kanban

otxto follows the todo.txt file format which allows for @tags. Columns can be generated anytime by using an @tag and all todos that have that tag will sorted automatically into the column. The columns created are stored in your settings file next to the todo.
